About Smelly Feet No More
It all started when I was twelve years old. To be honest it started way before then as my Grandfather is 98 years old this year! I was sleeping at my Grandparents and my Grandma noticed my socks and put them out on the back porch. Not hard to notice they were standing in the corner like my feet were still in them and stunk. Grandpa had an Old Family Remedy so we went to the local drug store and bought the ingredients to make a foot powder. They explained I had to rub it on my feet each night and wear socks to bed and then do the same thing in the morning, but to also sprinkle it in my shoes. I hated socks and still do, but I love and trust my Grandparents so I followed their instructions.
It worked, my socks didn't stand up by themselves any longer, the smell was gone. How cool was that! But it didn't last long, I stopped using the powder and a few years later, now a teenager and dating, the stench came back. It was so embarrassing and humiliating. I didn't want to go to friend's houses in fear of having to take my shoes off! I called my Grandpa and asked him for the recipe of his Foot Powder. He gave it to me and to this day I still have it on the same index card in my recipe box.
Over the years I have never disclosed the mixture, but I have made it for family, friends and co-workers who suffered from smelly feet or athlete's foot. It eventually cured my foot odor problem (I don't need to use it any longer) and it has helped many others. I have always thought in the back of my mind this was the greatest product and should be on the market...it works, it cures, everyone suffering from smelly feet at least needs to try it to see if it will work for them.
I starting the marketing process as "Grandpa's Foot Powder". The wonderful world of the internet and a business plan combined with my executive position in a Global Company and very focused on how I could make money from this, while honoring my Grandfather...get it...the sentence is already confusing enough! Today I am no longer an executive. I have learned a lot, but the most important lesson was to put family and friends before work. Money isn't everything, how cliche, but true.
This is all for my Grandpa Ernie and helping others. Although I would love to have marketed this product as "Grandpa's Foot Powder", Internet Search Engine's wouldn't have found it. So, thanks Mom, for the new name "Smelly Feet No More"!
